Despite this rapid advancement, many HSE professionals in the UAE have yet to leverage AI in their work. A typical visit to HSE departments in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Sharjah reveals reliance on traditional tools: spreadsheets, manual checklists, and PDF reports that require hours to compile.

This observation is not meant as criticism, but rather a reflection of the widening gap between the technological advancements occurring around us and the practices still prevalent within HSE departments. The professionals who take the initiative to bridge this gap will undoubtedly lead the way in the coming decade, while those who hesitate may find themselves playing catch-up.
